Controls Engineer contract in Riverdale, Iowa. $81/hr · 6 months.

• Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets;

• Write and debug effective and safe control programs, which meet end user requirements and the expectations of the customer

• Maintain the quality of equipment shipped;

• Ensure control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe and functional;

• Meet requirements for internal runoffs, safety inspections and other quality control procedures;

Experience / Skills:

• High attention to detail and quality;

• Able to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks;

• Able to keep work area clean and organized;

• Able to follow directions from peers within the integration department;

• Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills;

• Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes;

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent with experience will be considered;

• 5+ years’ experience in PLC programming;

• Machine programming (PLC/HMI) experience - Rockwell, GE;

• Safety system programming and troubleshooting experience;

• Network programming and troubleshooting experience;

• Experience in robotic welding (MIG, TIG, laser, spot) preferred;

• Commitment to company values; and

• Educational, training and experience requirements may be modified at the management team’s discretion.

• Clear communication with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise;

• Debugging of electrical systems as needed for operation of all machines;

• Effective communication with robotic programmers regarding necessary requirements to ensure a project runs smoothly;

• Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives; and

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
