Important Notice
As part of the evaluation process for engagement as an independent contractor or professional on the Automate America platform, Automate America, Inc. ("Automate America") obtained a consumer report and/or investigative consumer report about you from a consumer reporting agency.
Based wholly or partly on information contained in this consumer report, we are considering taking adverse action that may affect your ability to provide services through the Automate America platform.
Purpose of This Notice
Before making a final decision, we are providing you with:
- This Pre-Adverse Action Notice — Informing you that adverse action is being considered
- A copy of your consumer report — The report that was obtained about you
- A Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA — Your rights under federal law
Your Rights
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to:
Review the Consumer Report
A copy of the consumer report is enclosed with this notice. Please review it carefully.
Dispute Inaccurate Information
If you believe any information in the consumer report is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to dispute that information directly with the consumer reporting agency that prepared the report.
Provide Additional Information
You may submit additional information or documentation to Automate America to explain or clarify any concerns raised by the consumer report.
Waiting Period
You have FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS from the date of this notice to:
- Review the enclosed consumer report
- Dispute any inaccurate information with the consumer reporting agency
- Provide Automate America with any additional information or explanation
No final adverse action will be taken until after this 5-business-day period has passed.

To Dispute Information with the Consumer Reporting Agency:

IMPORTANT: The consumer reporting agency did NOT make the decision to take adverse action and cannot explain why adverse action is being considered. If you have questions about the specific reasons, please contact Automate America directly.

Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA
A complete summary of your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act is enclosed with this notice. Key rights include:
- Right to a Free Copy: You may obtain a free copy of your file from the consumer reporting agency within 60 days of this notice.
- Right to Dispute: You have the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information directly with the consumer reporting agency.
- Right to Know: You have the right to know what is in your file and who has requested it.
- Right to Seek Damages: You may sue in state or federal court if a consumer reporting agency or user of consumer reports violates the FCRA.
What Happens Next
After the 5-business-day waiting period:
- If you do not respond: We will proceed with our final decision based on the available information.
- If you dispute information: We will consider the results of your dispute before making a final decision.
- If you provide additional information: We will consider your submission before making a final decision.
If adverse action is taken after this waiting period, you will receive a separate Adverse Action Notice explaining the final decision.
