What are Connection Stories and how do they work?

Connection Stories are short, real accounts that two connected people add to their connection — the projects they worked on together, how they first met, what it was like working side by side. Either person can add a story once you are connected (you can even attach one to the connection request itself, and it goes live when the request is accepted). When you add a story, the other person is notified and can verify it, add their own side, or decline it privately. When both sides confirm, the story earns a green Verified Story mark — the strongest trust signal on the platform, because two professionals are independently vouching for the same shared history. Here is exactly who sees what: everyone you are connected to can see who else you are connected to and the stories that bind you — your connections list and the stories on each connection are open to your connections. The public sees only the scale: a profile shows "Connected to N professionals · M stories (K verified)" with no names and no story content. Within that list, each person appears by first name only — no contact information — unless you are also connected to them, in which case you see their full name in the list and in the stories you share. Story text itself never carries contact details or full last names, and Automate America reviews flagged content. A profile full of verified stories reads like a work history written by the people who were actually there, which is why it is worth adding one for every real connection you have.
