Senior Controls Engineer

We are in search of a Senior Controls Engineer. In this position, you will lead controls engineering efforts for conception, design, programming, testing, and installation and commissioning for automated material handling control systems.

Your exceptional work ethic combined with outstanding communication skills and our team-based engineering methodology will allow you to be able to develop complete hardware designs and PLC control programs for automated material handling systems while owning the controls scope, schedule and budget on a project.

Responsibilities and abilities required:

• Leads controls engineering design efforts through conception, design, programming, testing and commissioning efforts per project requirements

• Effectively delegates work to controls and mechanical engineers

• Interface with customer engineering and end-user contacts during project design and implementation cycle

• Develops PLC and HMI programs and applications

•Travels to site to support field efforts (30-40% travel required)

We’re looking for availability of a resource that can support the following:

• Electrical Design (AutoCAD / AutoCADE)

• Siemens S7-1500 PLC programming

• Siemens S120 Drives

• Familiarity with S7-400 platforms and Step 7 classic

• Any experience with Ignition HMI if possible

* December 27th - January 2nd will be installing equipment at a facility outside of Memphis, TN. *
