PLC Programmer contract in Spartanburg, SC. $68/hr · 5 days.

The integration of two new defect marker detection sensors into the Allen Bradley PLC logic for two identical machines. Estimated at 30 hours. 15 hours for the first machine, 5 hours for the second machine and 10 hours of tryout and production support.

The machine has 5 stations. The 1/2'” aluminum tape will be detected in the first “cutting” station. The defected piece will be tracked through each station. When the part reaches the unload station, it will sound the alarm for 15 seconds, then will shut off automatically with no operator reset or acknowledgement.

Defects are marked with two strips of tape before they enter the cutting station. From time to time, the cut will happen between two pieces of tape in which case both pieces will set the alarm.
