The cell has two ABB IRB 4600 robots and two IRB 120 robots. The unload robot (IRB 4600) uses a Cognex IS7802 camera to locate a 250mm x 225mm ceramic plate. These plates shift as they travel through kiln. The robot program uses the camera data to calculate pick position. There is a seperate laser sensor used to measure distance from the plate so that height adjustments can be made prior to the camera taking the picture. When the robot hovers over the plate the program stalls while trying to call function "GetCamT(c)". This is the laser data that should have have been recorded for height adjustment. For some reason this isn't happening. That is issue number one.
After the "GetCamT(c)" issue is resolved, we will need the programmer to work with the PLC programmer to sort out some reoccuring bugs. This will be explained on site. They are most likely sequensing issues.
Further, the IRB 120's are being outfitted with vacuum chucks that pick green ceramic rings (pressed powder). The original tooling was an internal gripper. So, some adjustment to path, timing, and I/O will need to be changed in the program. And, possibly, some program optimization will be required.
