I've to perform troubleshooting as far as breaking down the robots and fixing mechanical issues such as; shock sensors, gas leaks, table fixtures, bent lining where the Mig wire flows through and also if the robot crashes I've learned how to free the robot and get it back to its original position. Modifying points with (x,y,z, -x,-y,-z coordinate) was also a part of most of process. With the mig robots I was able to take a incorrect weld and perfect it with using the desired coordinates and modify. I take my time with every point and i also pay attention to the speed of the robot to avoid shocking out or safety speed error. For each problem that comes about with these robots I can pretty much figure it out and get production back going in a proper time frame. Most of these robots were duel robots with multisim software.
With the Fanuc robots I've dealt with adhesive glue robots to form a paste that joins boat material together and also an ATI tool changer with a flame to heat the material before the paste is applied. Dealing with these robots, the daily duties were performed such as maintaining correct glue paths by changing the speed settings, modifying points and also maintaining the pickup and drop of points for the ATI tool changers. Also, I've had the responsibility for line support with suction cups for the end of arm tooling on some robots (material handlers). These robots were mostly used to handle the finished product of a car hood to move them down a production line to be fully assembled and shipped on a semi to other automotive customers (Ford and GM) for further assembly. Also, daily preventive maintenance was performed to maintain good suction cups and to keep the curative adhesive from getting dry. With fanuc I've also had to deal with mig welding and water jet software. With water jets I used the tool 2 and point adjust to correct incorrect shapes that were cut out of the fiber base plastic.
The abb robots I dealt with were all material handlers with exchangeable grippers used for different GM and Ford parts. The duties that were performed were to make sure and adjust end of arm tooling on the robot to properly grab the product/ parts on an assembly line and place them for further production. During the preventative maintenance process grippers were checked, all air lines were checked and repaired as well as all actuators and sensors.
About Me
My name is Cadavious. I have experience with Yaskawa motoman, fanuc and ABB. Abb is my least experienced robot.
I also have manual welding and fitting expierence.
Skilled Trades (5)
With this trade I've laid down some pretty good welding beads. From 6010 root with 7018 fill and cap to tig welding, flux core and mig welding. I've also performed some high frequency aluminum welding. I have about 9 or 10 years all together experience with this.
Im in need of more electrical skills.
Professional Competencies (1)
Applications (10)
Ive worked with various HMI's. From welding cells to drill line cells, and press line cells. HMI's are pretty complex and easy to work with.

Working for Linear Automation we specialize in making transfers for customers. A transfer system/ transfer press is attached to a stamping press that has the weight of 200 tons to 600 tons. In transfer press stamping, a single press operates multiple stamping stations at once. The first station forms individual blanks, which are transferred and repositioned freely between stations to form one single part at the end of the process. Some of the duties are to go to a customer's site that has our equipment installed and perform PM's, electrical troubleshooting, repairing transfers with new bolts, and sometimes cracked welds, and creating recipes( programs) with HMI. My main job is to fix, troubleshoot and sometimes touch up points and program robots that are at the end of the production line. Most of the robots are used to stack finished products into bins. Also some are connected to a conveyor line with a vision system to stack finished products as well. Fanuc and abb are the most common robots I work with.
With this company I am doing contract work as a programmer at an automation plant called Honda. I am currently touching up points with bad programs on a FANUC R-J3 robot. Also all CNT moves are being monitored due to the fact of the robots moving too fast and colliding with one another. PM's are being performed with this job as well as making sure the fixtures are working properly.
This was a multicraft maintenance/ robotics contract company. With this company I've gained more maintenance and robot experience. Included with this experience is 5 months Fanuc robot, 5 months maintenance, 3 months ABB robot line support. I also gained my waterjet programming experience with this company as well.
With this contracting group I traveled state to state to high end automated customers (Dana Corp, Magna, Purem and also other ford companies), responsible for robot line support. Hand welding(mig) and multicraft maintenance. With the robot line support I modified points with welding (mig) robots and material handlers. There were times where we had to work as a team to break the robots down to either fix liners, untangle weld wire and sometimes change out the robot torch heads and recalibrate torch heads or end of arm tooling. Replace fuses, drive motors for robots. I also worked with HMI screens that we built along with the robot cells. I've dealt with Fanuc AND Motoman robots. I gained 6 months experience as well as another 6 months with Yaskawa Motoman robots.
This is a steel fabrication shop, and my position was a welder. I welded anything from 4-inch-thick plates to smaller ¾ plates that are fitted onto large beams and columns that are used in the structural field area to build new buildings. Sometimes this also included arc gouging to create a 100% full weld. This type of weld was tested with x-ray to determine the full penetration of the welds. At this shop we use flux core welding as well. I also have had experience in the prep department running a Peddinghaus CNC drill line and saw. I operated the machinery for at least 6 months. I learned to read blueprints and welded/fitted I beams and columns together. 2 years' experience. Forklift Driver Changed out rollers for conveyors, repaired the chains, changed drive motors.
My responsibilities are to program and to repair Motoman welding robots. The robots were used to weld racks, stands and shelves for Walmart, AutoZone, Auto Parts, manufacturers for hospital beds, auto part stores etc. The key duties that I've had to encounters were troubleshooting, breaking down the robots and fixing mechanical issues such as; shock sensors, gas leaks, table fixtures, bent lining where the Mig wire flows through and also if the robot crashes I learned to somewhat recalibrate the end of arm tooling. Modifying points with (x,y,z, -x,-y,-z coordinate) was also a part of most of the processes as well.
