Jacob — Mechanical Designer

Designed and rendering 3D models of surgical devices that evacuate surgical smoke from operating rooms and filters it back into the atmosphere. Created prototypes using various 3D printers. 3D modeling and rendering were done using Solidworks.

Designed an "Instant Whip Cream Machine" by utilizing Solidworks and Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing). Implemented Solidworks into the company and created Engineering documents and procedures. Maintained and managed the 3D printer.

Developed Air Bearing designs for customers' needs and specifications. Implemented new templates for standard products to streamline the design process.

Designed remote-operated robotic inspection crawlers and other tooling to inspect and retrieve foreign material from nuclear generators. Made 3D renderings and animations of models for presentations. Have a nuclear security clearance.

Designed various Natural Gas Pipelines using Solidworks Routing. Implemented an entire new system (Solidworks) into the company. Created a complete automated design/routing library in Solidworks. Ran FEA on various projects to determine design safety.

Designed high-quality bicycle components that undergo intense forces and stresses. Created engineering templates and procedures. Designed, FEA simulated and rendered these parts in Solidworks.

Designed and assembled aluminum extruded frame enclosures. Improved enterprise system efficiency using Solidworks to import parts into an assembly and exporting a Bill of Materials.
