This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of the Automate America platform ("Platform"). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy.

Automate America connects automation professionals with companies seeking their expertise. To maintain a safe, professional environment for all users, we have established these guidelines.
1.3 Relationship to Other Terms
This Policy is part of our Terms of Service. Violations of this Policy may result in enforcement actions as described in Section 7.
2. PROHIBITED CONTENT
You may not post, upload, share, or transmit content that:
2.1 Illegal Content
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Promotes illegal activities or services
- Contains or distributes malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Facilitates or promotes human trafficking
2.2 Harmful Content
- Threatens, harasses, or bullies others
- Contains hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Promotes violence or self-harm
- Contains sexually explicit or pornographic material
- Exploits or endangers minors in any way
2.3 Fraudulent Content
- False or misleading information about qualifications or experience
- Fake reviews or testimonials
- Phishing attempts or scams
- Impersonation of another person or organization
- Falsified certifications or credentials
2.4 Spam and Manipulation
- Unsolicited commercial messages
- Artificially inflated metrics or engagement
- Automated posting without authorization
- Duplicate or repetitive content
- Chain letters or pyramid schemes
2.5 Intellectual Property Violations
- Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or patents
- Confidential or proprietary information without authorization
- Trade secrets or protected business information
- Pirated software or media
3. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Users may not engage in conduct that:
3.1 Account Violations
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Share account credentials with unauthorized parties
- Use another user's account without permission
- Provide false information during registration
- Sell, transfer, or share account access
3.2 Platform Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with platform operations or other users' access
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without permission
- Circumvent rate limits or security measures
- Reverse engineer or decompile platform software
- Use bots or automated tools without authorization
3.3 Professional Misconduct
- Misrepresent qualifications, certifications, or experience
- Fail to disclose conflicts of interest
- Engage in bid rigging or anti-competitive behavior
- Breach confidentiality of client information
- Fail to complete agreed-upon work without valid reason
- Engage in discriminatory hiring or contracting practices
3.4 Payment and Financial Fraud
- Submit false invoices or timesheets
- Charge for work not performed
- Refuse to honor agreed-upon payment terms
- Money laundering or financial fraud
- Attempt to circumvent platform payment systems
4. ACCOUNT SECURITY
4.1 Password Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Using a strong, unique password
- Enabling two-factor authentication when available
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
4.2 Access Control
- Log out from shared or public devices
- Do not share your account with others
- Review account activity regularly
- Update contact information promptly
4.3 Authorized Use
- Use your account only for legitimate business purposes
- Ensure any authorized users comply with this Policy
- Maintain accurate profile information
- Report suspicious activity immediately
4.4 Account Compromise
If you believe your account has been compromised:
- Change your password immediately
- Review recent account activity
- Contact support@automateamerica.com
- Enable additional security measures
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create and post. By posting, you grant Automate America a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content on the Platform as needed to provide our services.
5.2 Platform Content
All Platform content, including logos, designs, documentation, and software, is owned by Automate America and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform content without permission.
5.3 Third-Party Content
Respect the intellectual property rights of others:
- Only post content you have the right to share
- Provide proper attribution when required
- Do not use others' trademarks without permission
- Obtain necessary licenses for copyrighted material
5.4 DMCA Compliance
We respond to valid copyright infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. To report infringement, contact legal@automateamerica.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Location of the infringing material
- Your contact information
- A statement of good faith belief
- Your signature (electronic or physical)
6. REPORTING VIOLATIONS
6.1 How to Report
If you encounter content or conduct that violates this Policy:
- Report Button - Use the report feature on any content
- Email - Send details to abuse@automateamerica.com
- Phone - Call (586) 770-8083 for urgent matters
6.2 What to Include
- URL or location of the content
- Description of the violation
- Screenshots if available
- Your contact information (optional but helpful)
6.3 Confidentiality
Reporter information is kept confidential. We do not disclose who made a report to the reported party.
6.4 False Reports
Submitting false or malicious reports is itself a violation of this Policy and may result in account action.
6.5 Response Time
We aim to review all reports within 48 hours. Urgent safety concerns are prioritized.
7. ENFORCEMENT
7.1 Investigation
We may investigate reported violations and take appropriate action at our discretion.
7.2 Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity, actions may include:
- Issuing a warning
- Removing content
- Suspending account access (temporary)
- Terminating the account (permanent)
- Reporting to law enforcement
- Legal action where appropriate
7.3 Severity Guidelines
- Minor (first offense): Warning and education
- Moderate: Content removal and formal warning
- Serious: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- Severe or Repeated: Permanent termination
7.4 Discretion
We reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate to protect our community. Severe violations may result in immediate termination without prior warning.
7.5 Good Faith
We make enforcement decisions in good faith. While we are not liable for actions taken to enforce this Policy, we strive for fair and consistent application.
8. APPEALS PROCESS
8.1 Right to Appeal
If your account is suspended or content is removed, you may appeal within 30 days of the action.
8.2 How to Appeal
Email appeals@automateamerica.com with:
- Your username and email address
- Description of the action taken
- Why you believe the action was incorrect
- Any supporting evidence or context
8.3 Review Process
Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the original decision-maker. You will receive a written response within 10 business days explaining our decision.
8.4 Final Decisions
Some decisions may be final and not subject to further appeal, particularly for:
- Severe violations (illegal activity, fraud, threats)
- Repeated offenses after prior warnings
- Clear policy violations with documented evidence
9. POLICY UPDATES
9.1 Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or community standards.
9.2 Notification
Significant changes will be communicated via:
- Email notification to registered users
- Notice on the Platform
- Updated "Last Modified" date on this page
9.3 Acceptance
Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. If you disagree with changes, you may close your account.
9.4 Review
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed of your rights and responsibilities.
