How White-Glove Hourly Contracts Work

A White-Glove hourly contract is a full-service, managed contract: the professional works as an independent contractor, through their own company, or as a service partner's employee — never as Automate America's employee, and Automate America invoices the company and pays the professional on the contract's net terms — the company just interviews, selects, and approves timesheets.

Step by step

1

A company posts a White-Glove contract

The company posts an hourly contract with the skills, location, schedule and rate it needs. They choose White-Glove so Automate America manages the engagement end to end.

2

Professionals apply and interview

Qualified professionals apply. The company reviews profiles, interviews, and selects who they want — exactly like hiring, without the paperwork.

3

The Supplier Services Agreement is signed

An independent professional signs it as an independent contractor; a professional with their own company signs through that company as a supplier; a service partner applies its own W-2 employees. Nobody becomes an employee of Automate America.

4

The professional works and logs weekly timesheets

Work happens on the company’s schedule. The professional logs hours each week through the Automate America timesheet system in seconds.

5

The company approves timesheets

Each week the company approves the submitted hours.

6

Automate America invoices the company and pays the professional

Automate America invoices the company for approved hours and pays the professional by direct deposit on the net terms the company set for the contract. Automate America issues Form 1099-NEC where required.

Am I an employee of Automate America on a White-Glove contract?

No. If you work for yourself you are an independent contractor: Automate America issues you Form 1099-NEC and you pay your own taxes. If you have your own company, your company is the supplier. If you work for a service partner, you are that service partner’s W-2 employee and it applies you to contracts. Overtime is paid at the overtime rate on the contract.

You log your hours each week and submit a timesheet. Once the company approves it, approved hours are paid by direct deposit on the net terms the company set for the contract (shown on the contract).

Who handles taxes and insurance?
