Designed, programmed, lead install team installing conveyor systems and automatic storage and retrieval systems for automotive seating.
Modernized the teams approach to the initial development process, saving hundreds of engineering hours and brainpower. Utilized modern approaches to mass-parameterization of devices to minimze downtime and increase development/initial run-off efficiency.
1 Years 5 months (May 2020 - Sep 2021)
Installed EOL functioon testers for the WK program, testing all 3 rows of seats.
Supported the entire assembly line production, making improvements as potential opportunities were discovered.
1 Years 7 months (Mar 2020 - Sep 2021)
Designed, programmed and lead an install team in manufacturing facilities. We installed automated testing equipment for automotive seating.
This includes important safety features such as seatbelts, seatbelt tensioners, airbags, and occupant detection systems.
This also includes other mechanical and electrical features such as folding, manual motions, heating/cooling devices, and various modules found within the seat. Communicaitng with these modules was done over CAN or LIN communication and had to be programmed per specific seat/manufacturer requirements.
All tests were done with various types of robotics applied, depending on the customer's needs. This includes ABB, Yaskawa, and UR Cobots.
