Community Project

Experienced Site Manager to support new install of automated assembly lines.

SOW:
Manage day to day work load, builders, techs, CE's during install for PLC and robot Program Debug/Commissioning on new builds.

1. Project coordination on-site
Manage the daily activities of installers, electricians, robot techs, and controls engineers. Make sure everyone knows what needs to be done and when.

2. Schedule and timeline management
Track progress against the project schedule, adjust for delays, and push to hit key milestones like:
Mechanical completion
Power-on
Debug/commissioning
Production runoff

3. Contractor and vendor oversight
Ensures everyone works together and stays aligned. Manage multiple vendors (robot suppliers, conveyor companies, tooling teams, ect).

4. Installation supervision
Oversee:
Equipment placement and layout
Mechanical assembly
Electrical wiring and panel installation
Robot setup and integration

5. Safety management
A huge part of the role. Enforce site safety rules, run safety meetings, and make sure work is done according to OSHA or plant standards.

6. Commissioning support
Once installation is done, coordinate debugging and startup:
PLC and robot bring-up
I/O checks
System testing
Fixing issues before production

7. Problem solving
Things always go wrong—missing parts, design conflicts, timing issues. You will be expected to quickly troubleshoot and keep progress moving.

8. Communication and reporting
Provide daily or weekly updates to:
The customer (plant leadership)
Project managers
Engineering teams

9. Budget and resource tracking
Monitor labor usage, overtime, and material needs to help keep the project within budget.

Experience needed:
5 years installation management and install experience.

Procedures And Policies

  • Travel related expenses may be possible for highly qualified candidates living outside of the stardard 50 mile radius. TBD based on experience and location.

    Per diem for food, and incidentals. (no reciepts required).

    Hotel at most reasonable rate, reimbursed per reciepts.

    Mileage for personal vehicle use only. Initial to and from work location, not for daily driving to and from plant/hotel.

    Rental car (if needed) at most reasonable rate, reimbursed per reciepts.

    Airfare (if needed) at most reasonable rate, reimbursed per receipts.

    Fuel reimbursement for rental car use only per receipts (not for personal vehicle use)

    Certificate of Insurance (COI): A current COI must be uploaded to your profile before starting any project. This is essential for compliance with our insurance policy and to protect all parties involved. The minimum coverage required is $1,000,000 in General Liability. If you do not have or do not wish to obtain the necessary insurance at this time, a deduction of 5% will be included from your billable time each week. Please obtain your COI through the following process if you don’t have a current COI already:

      • Visit Hiscox Insurance.
      • Enter your Zip Code to specify your state.
      • Select/Type the nature of your work, for example, "Controls Systems Integration/Automation."
      • Indicate the structure of your business (Corporation, LLC, etc.). You can select ‘Other’ if you don’t yet have a company started.
      • Choose the date for your coverage to start.
      • Ensure you select a minimum of $1,000,000 General Liability Coverage.
      • Complete the Business Basics fields and follow the prompts to receive your quote.
      • Remember, quotes from Hiscox are valid for 30 days, and they offer assistance via chat and phone round the clock.

    Timesheets and Expense Reports: These must be submitted by 9 AM on Monday mornings. Adherence to this deadline is crucial for maintaining our commitment to clients and for the timely processing of invoices. Please note the following late fee policy:

      • A late submission beyond the deadline will incur a fee.
      • Starting from Tuesday, a $100 late fee will be applied.
      • An additional $50 fee will be charged for each day beyond the initial late period.
