Position Summary:
The Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical control systems and automation equipment across the facility. This role supports production and maintenance teams by ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and performance through proactive diagnostics and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial networks.
Perform diagnostics and repairs on automated machinery and process control systems.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement control system upgrades and improvements.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Program and modify PLC logic and HMI interfaces (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
Maintain documentation for control systems, including change logs and backups.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.
Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Train and mentor maintenance staff on control systems and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
3+ years of experience in industrial electrical or controls technician role.
Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
Strong understanding of electrical theory, control systems, and automation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
Preferred:
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
Knowledge of SCADA systems and data acquisition tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in confined spaces, heights, and varying environmental conditions.
Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, may include weekends or off-shifts depending on operational needs.

Timesheets and Expense Reports: These must be submitted by 9 AM on Monday mornings. Adherence to this deadline is crucial for maintaining our commitment to clients and for the timely processing of invoices. Please note the following late fee policy:

- A late submission beyond the deadline will incur a fee.
- Starting from Tuesday, a $100 late fee will be applied.
- An additional $50 fee will be charged for each day beyond the initial late period.
