We are searching for a highly motivated, detailed oriented, experienced Automation Field Technician located in or around the OKC area to help support our Engineering & Controls division.

Travel expenses and per diem may be offered for those outside of the standard 50 mile radius of site location.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a strong technical background and a passion for driving continuous improvement. Individuals will play a crucial role in commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support for our diversified client base. You will be empowered to leverage strong technical experience, while being afforded the opportunity to engage with some of the most technically advanced clients in the industry. Must be customer service oriented, with a drive to ensure projects are completed right the first time.
Essential Job Functions
• Automation Strategy – champion and support automation methods, tools, and processes including design, engineering, programming, and deployment strategies.
• Team Leader – collaborate with internal and external cross functional partners, including detailed project planning, budgets, and execution strategies.
• Programming & SCADA Engagement – navigate, interact, and support program solutions provided by the Design & Engineering teams.
• Network & Control Communications – install, set-up, and troubleshoot network communications for all applicable TCP/IP, Modbus, and proprietary system networks, as required for system start-up.
• Integration and Deployment – support project installation and deployment teams with minimal supervision.
• System Commissioning & Validation – install, test, start-up, and commission all applicable systems and OEM equipment.
• Troubleshooting – experienced troubleshooting background including automation, mechanical, electrical, and ancillary OEM systems.
• Team Collaboration – support engineering and program management teams, including lessons learned and process improvement initiatives.
• Design Documentation - knowledge in electrical controls schematics, electrical power, mechanical layouts, and P&ID diagrams.
Job Requirements
• Technical or vocational degree in related field preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, or automation system or services preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge in Mechanical & Electrical Systems (MEP).
• Proficient with Fluke Meters, and instrumentation calibration / testing preferred, but not required.
• Knowledgeable in facility maintenance and field service work a plus.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to function and execute independently and as well as part of a team.

Timesheets are due in Automate America system each Sunday evening for approval and processing. Late submissions will result in late payments.
Certificate of Insurance (COI): A current COI must be uploaded to your profile before starting any project. This is essential for compliance with our insurance policy and to protect all parties involved. The minimum coverage required is $1,000,000 in General Liability. Please obtain your COI through the following process if you don’t have a current COI already:

Timesheets and Expense Reports: These must be submitted by 9 AM on Monday mornings. Adherence to this deadline is crucial for maintaining our commitment to clients and for the timely processing of invoices. Please note the following late fee policy:

- A late submission beyond the deadline will incur a fee.
- Starting from Tuesday, a $100 late fee will be applied.
- An additional $50 fee will be charged for each day beyond the initial late period.
