PLC/ Robot Programmer and Commissioner

Job Description:

Programming:

Develop Robot, PLC, and HMI program

Create Operator user manuals based upon how the system is programmed

Feasibility studies:

Timing studies to ensure line rates can be met

Prototype programming and testing to ensure concepts are sound (example setting up robot motions in Roboguide)

System build:Assist with system assembly as needed

Systems are assembled by the mechanical design engineer, assembly technicians, controls engineers, and programmers, or a combination of all.

Answer questions / provide guidance as needed to assembly techs

Troubleshoot and modify as issues arise

Ensure assembly operations are performed correctly, spot checking and supervising as needed

Testing and troubleshooting of system:

Assist with initial system testing and troubleshooting while system is located at Automation Engineering

Work with mechanical engineers to ensure process meets the projects goals

Flexible to brainstorm and modify the system as needed if/when issues arise

System installation:

Assist with final connections of the system both pneumatic and electrical

Startup system and prepare it to be production ready

Perform operator, supervisor, and system operation training

Ensure all job documentation has been completed and customer is satisfied with the system

Required Skills:

Proficiency in industrial automation robotics, PLC and HMI programming, and maintaining systems.

Ability to travel to customer’s site (locally, regionally).

Programming / Technical Skills

Fanuc(Good to have)

3DL Vision, Allen Bradley, Arc Tool, Handling Tool, iRVision, LR Mate Series, R-30iB, ROBOGUIDE

Multiple years of expirence in robotics programming and PLC interface.
